The Numark M6 USB is a versatile and robust four-channel mixer engineered to serve as the central hub for any performance DJ's setup. Combining a classic rack-mountable form factor with modern USB audio integration, the M6 provides extensive connectivity and control for both analog and digital sources, making it an ideal command center for multi-deck mixing in club installations or mobile rigs.
Core Architecture and Connectivity
The M6 is fundamentally a four-channel analog mixer, augmented with a class-compliant USB digital audio interface. This hybrid design offers maximum flexibility for integrating a wide range of gear.
Channel Inputs: The mixer boasts a formidable input section with four stereo channels, each featuring a dedicated level fader. Channels 1 and 2 are equipped with high-quality, switchable phono/line preamps (RCA), and a total of eight line-level RCA inputs are available across all channels.
Microphone Inputs: A dedicated, top-panel combo jack (XLR / 1/4") serves as the primary microphone input, complete with gain control and a two-band EQ (Bass, Treble). An additional 1/4" mic input is located on channel 4.
Master Outputs: For professional integration, the M6 includes balanced XLR master outputs, ensuring a clean, noise-free signal path to club sound systems and professional amplifiers. Unbalanced RCA outputs are also provided for booth and zone connections.
USB Audio Interface
A key feature of the M6 is its integrated plug-and-play USB connection. This class-compliant interface requires no driver installation on Mac or PC and provides two-way audio streaming:
Input to Computer: The USB output sends the main mix from the M6 directly to a connected computer, ideal for recording DJ sets into DAW software or for live streaming.
Output from Computer: The USB input allows for audio playback from a computer directly through one of the mixer's channels, enabling seamless integration of DJ software as an audio source.
